Empowering Patients To Live Well With Sight Loss - Free Courses

Sight Loss Shropshire offers free Living Well with Sight Loss courses designed to help people adapt to changes in their vision and build confidence in everyday life. These informal workshops are suitable for adults of all ages living with sight loss, at any stage, and their family or friends. Sessions are available either face-to-face in local community venues, or over the telephone for greater convenience.  Click here to find out more.

 

There are face-to-face courses coming up in Market Drayton and Shrewsbury, plus telephone courses available until November 2025.
 
What patients can gain:

  • Advice on using public transport
  • Access to local support services
  • Practical tips for managing at home
  • Peer support from others with shared experiences

The Community Urgent Eyecare Service (CUES) provides urgent assessment, treatment or referral for sudden onset eye problems such as flashes, floaters, vision loss or minor eye injuries.
